Isaiah Tilghman, 33, was caught on the 3300 block of Aramingo Avenue, according to US Marshals.

Tilghman was being held on drug charges and state parole violations when he fled from the Blair County Prison on Dec. 3, authorities have said.

Just days after his escape, Marshals said they believed Tilghman had been in the Port Richmond area. The next week on Dec. 15, a truck that he allegedly stole was found in South Philadelphia

Marshals received information this week that Tilghman was staying in the city's Kensington section and set up surveillance at multiple residences, they said in a release.

On Friday morning, they followed him to the Aramingo Avenue Planet Fitness in Port Richmond and arrested him without incident, according to Supervisory Deputy US Marshal Robert Clark.

“This arrest was a result of Fugitive Task Forces in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, diligently working together, to capture a dangerous escapee," Clark said in a statement.

"The Marshals Service is unequivocally the best in the business at finding people who do not wish to be found and this arrest reinforces that fact."
